Let’s start at the very beginning.

If you have not started gardening yet, here is what your garden would look like:

If you have been using your garden, then it should have some plants in it. I am here to help you with gardening, to maae gardening more efficient, and also to assist you with making your garden beautiful.

Let’s say you log on to facebook at the beginning of the day in playfish time. Recieve your winnings from the daily lottery, visit your friends….you know.

  1. Earn a lot of money. The money will be used for buying seeds and pots.
  2. Buy the type of seed you want whether it’s a vegetable, a flower, or a tree.

If you bought a vegetable:

  • Plant the seed (of course) and wait.
  • It takes 24 hours for a vegetable to fully grow.
  • The longer you wait, the larger your vegetable will grow, but beware, it could go rotton.
  • once the 24 hours are up, your vegetable will be ready to pick. Click it and take it out of your garden, it will be in your chest.

If you bought a Flower seed:

  • Plant the flower seed (of course) and wait
  • It takes 24 hours for the flower to be fully grown
  • The flower will not grow larger if you wait longer, that’s it!
  • After 24 hours, you may pluck your flower out. It will go into your chest
  • *~Optional~* buy a pot at the garden store, set it down and take the flower out of the chest. Drop the flower directly over the pot, and you may move the pot around (it will hold the flower) and you may display the flower anywhere you like.

If you bought a tree seed:

  • This is my favorite seed, but it costs 500 coins.
  • First buy a seed and plant it. Wait.
  • It takes 3 days (72 hours) for the tree to fully grow. So far there are only five eight types of known trees: Apple, Orange, Coconut, Banana, cupcake, strawberry shortcake, cherry, and halloween.
  • If you choose to remove a tree, it doesn’t mean it will go into your chest and you can move it, it means that the tree will be gone….for good!
  • A lot of people have been asking why fruits haven’t been growing on their trees. Be patient, and you will be rewarded. It takes a lot of time. In real life, the fruits grow even slower than the ones on pet society.

How much will I earn from selling my goods?

Veggies: It’s hard to say, because they all grow in different sizes, but if you grow the smallest type it’s worth 85 coins and 728 recycling points (Only for the smallest type!!)

Flowers: 208 coins, 1250 recycle points

Fruits (from the trees): 65 coins, 392 recycle points

How do I find out what type of tree I’m growing ahead of time?

You cannot specifically find out what type of tree you are growing ahead of time. There is a different method to this:

By the second day, the tree will slightly show it’s future form. There’s the leafy form (Meaning you’re going to have a coconut tree or a banana tree) :

There’s the bushy form, meaning it will grow into a cupcake tree, an apple tree, or an orange tree:

There’s also the pink tree, which means it’s a cherry tree, and another leafy green for strawberry shortcake.

So it’s not specific. I know it’s hard to wait for three days to find out, but you’ll survive!

So what’s with the garden competition?

Playfish started a contest a couple of weeks ago. First you had to take a picture of a garden (yours, a neighbors, a friends, etc.) and you had to recreate the garden using pet society. I’m not participating in it, because my garden is huge, and it has so much stuff, that I would lose my patience trying to recreate it! You can find out more about the contest here: http://blog.petsociety.com/2009/06/15/pet-society-garden-competition/

Anything I should know?

I don’t have a lot of advice to give to you, but all I can say is, never plant two trees next to each other. Or it will end up like this:

See the three trees on the right? Not a very stunning appearance! Don’t make that mistake. The sad part is, I’m growing more trees next to them. It’s going to look horrible! So don’t ever plant two trees next to each other, unless you’re greedy, like me.

If you have anymore questions regarding the pet society gardens, please comment on this page, and I’ll reply A.S.A.P!

      Dear petsocietyrox,
Good job! Managing a blog is tough, but once you get used to it, it’s a simple job. Why don’t you post some tips that you’ve learned while playing the game? Or if you have any decorating tips, post them up! Be sure to include your opinions and thoughts about what’s going on with pet society. Have fun with it. Pretend you’re about to film a movie. Let’s say you want a post about your pet having a baby. Take pictures of your pet wearing a bib or pushing a stroller. Photoshop the pictures if you want, be creative and imaginative! Good luck with your blog!

My tree hasn’t produced fruit and i planted it a week ago! Is it just a dud tree?

    • 13 Pet Society Addict February 3, 2010 at 6:19 PM

      Dear Shroomy,
It’s ok, just be patient. Your tree will bear fruit soon…Just wait…
While you’re waiting, try to do something that doesn’t involve pet society, like watching a movie, or taking a nap….I would also recommend getting a real pet. LOL

I don’t know if this is a glitch or if I’m doing something wrong, but whenever I try to plant a new tree in my garden, it disappears after a little bit. I planted it and checked on it a few hours later and it was completely gone. This has happened a few times, now. I have only tried planting it in the first plot, so I don’t know if it’s just glitched or not. I’m trying another one in a different plot right now. I was just wondering, though, is there a new rule about watering your tree? Do you have to water it within a few hours or else it will disappear or is it really just a glitch?

    • 17 Pet Society Addict April 17, 2010 at 2:41 AM

      Dear Brenna,
whoa, this is definitely not normal…I’m actually very interested in this…Do you think you could take some pictures of this glitch? Maybe a picture of when you are planting the tree and then another one of it disappearing? I’m sure other readers would be willing to answer your question. Also, it is not possible to water trees in pet society–and that just takes even more of the reality away from it…
